Last summer/fall, I had the pleasure of attending the various Social Media Week events around Chicago! While I’m sad that Chicago is not a host city this year, check out all the amazing ways you can connect to the social media week events worldwide below! I remember last year so many amazing classes, sessions, and opportunities. Feel free to share any classes or seminars you’d think be interesting for us here! In 10 days #SMW12 kicks off in 12 cities around the world. This year we explore Empowering Change through Collaboration, and regardless of where you are in the world, you are invited to participate.
Here are three ways you can Get Involved:
1) Attend: Sign up, create an account, and enjoy One Click Registration to attend almost 1,000 events in 12 cities. Speakers include Paul Adams, Global Brand Experience Manager at Facebook; Don Tapscott, Author of Macrowikinomics; Reid Hoffman, co-founder & Executive Chairman of LinkedIn; Carol McCall, Chief Strategy Officer of GNS Healthcare; Fabio Coelho, CEO of Google Brazil; Borja Perez, VP Digital at Telemundo; and journalists Soichiro Tahara and Toshinao Sasaki from Tokyo.
2) Mobile: Enhance the SMW experience by downloading our new Official Mobile App, powered by Nokia and available on iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Symbian and soon on Android & Windows Mobile. Build your schedule, register for events, follow the livestream and connect to social news content provided by The Guardian News.
3) Live: If you cannot attend events, you can watch hundreds of them via SMW Live, powered by Nokia and enabled by our Global Livestreaming Partner Livestream.
