If you can’t make it to the SMC meeting, pop in at Chicago’s first product show and tell event. Essentially, attendees are encouraged to bring different products that they are passionate about, and share that with the group. Best described in their own twitter feed:
product meetup will give people a venue not to talk about just the products they make and produce, but also produce….
the goal is to increase velocity in which these products get discovered as they are unlikely to be advertised traditionally…
in other words, why eat plain old hershey’s when there is tcho, or 5 years ago why use chapstick when there is burt’s bees..
